about

An interpretation of the truly agonising experience of being totally ignored.

lyrics

Never you once complained
or tried it on for the fame
the knots in my chest the pain
burn bright though your memory fades

And it could be me but I'll never know
you hide in places that I can't go
you count down like the minutes to the grave
And apologies I'm beginning to see
I drive you places we've already been just to
waste time like a child in a game

Your violent contours again..
stop now through the light I see your breath
girl you're on and off like I've never seen
the nights as dark as its ever been

[CHORUS]

about

Apera Auckland, New Zealand

Devonport's Apera has been weaving his love of philosophy and life into his carefully crafted songs since he was first gifted a guitar at age 10. Initially influenced by bands such as Radiohead and Coldplay, his attention has more recently turned to emotive and expressive singers such as Matt Corby, Jeff Buckley and Hozier. His music is a blend of tasteful melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
